OatherizePrivacy Policy
Oatherize ("we", "us") provides a tool that helps businesses and creators write, schedule and publish social media posts. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and an encrypted password.
- Brand settings: the business description, audience, voice and call to action you enter so our AI can write in your style.
- Content: the posts, drafts, schedules and media links you create in Oatherize.
- Connected accounts: when you connect a social network (for example Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Google Business Profile or Bluesky), we receive an access token from that network plus basic profile details such as the account or page name and ID. We never receive your social media passwords. For Bluesky you provide an app password, which you can revoke in Bluesky at any time.
- Usage data: counts of AI credits and posts used, and technical logs needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
- To publish the posts you schedule, to the accounts you choose, at the times you choose.
- To generate post text with AI when you ask us to. Your request and brand settings are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce the text.
- To show you your calendar, results and plan usage, and to provide support.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We use data from connected networks only to publish your posts and show you their status. We do not read your private messages, sell your data, or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- The social networks you connect, to publish your posts.
- Service providers that host and run Oatherize, including our database and hosting provider (Supabase) and our AI provider (Anthropic).
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is open. Access tokens are deleted when you remove a connection or close your account. When you delete your account, we delete your posts, connections and brand settings within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records.
Your choices and rights
- Remove any connected account from the Channels page at any time. You can also revoke Oatherize's access from each network's own settings.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account by emailing .
Data deletion requests
To delete your Oatherize account and all associated data, including data received from Facebook, Instagram or any other network, email from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We confirm deletion within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access tokens are stored in a database that customers and the public cannot read, and each customer can only see their own posts and connections.
Children
Oatherize is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you by email for important changes.
